Located at 5716 E 7th St B-6, Long Beach, CA 90803, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue operates as a hawaiian bbq serving Long Beach in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under barbecue restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Long Beach, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 10:30 amβ9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Its website is hawaiianbarbecue.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 340 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Long Beach is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Long Beach is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Was a regular customer here, but new owner took over and now it's not the same. Ordered a bowl and no teriyaki sauce on it. I asked and was told they no longer put sauce in the bowl. Huh?? Got a tiny cup of watery sugar. I feel bad for the employees. They looked uncomfortable when I asked about the sauce. Less chicken in the bowl as well. Won't be going back...sadly.

So I have been going to get Hawaiian BBQ for years and i Always!!! Order the Bbq Chicken w/ 2 mac and 1 rice regular plate for me and my husband and a mini for my daughter iykyk... and never in my life have I got home took a shower and ready to eat and open my plate and seen this super dry meat i was so confused. And kitchen rice not sticky rice with bland mac Salad on my plate I was so disappointed so I drove 10 min back to the place and asked what was this and it's not what I ordered so first the lady tells me this is the bbq plate and I said absolutely not why does it look like this have you changed meat vendors and said ooooo no it looks like the cook used chicken breast and it's supposed to be thigh meat I should have known something was off when I was getting my Teriyaki and soy sauce to go and it was watery long story short she remade my food I wish I would have brought my whole order back because my kid and husband had the same dried chicken they told me when I got back home moral of the story check your order before you leave

The food was amazing and affordable when it was LB Hawaiian. I would have lunch here about twice a week. Now that they have been bought out by L&L, the food is okay, the prices increase by about 20%, and the wait was twice as long. The original staff was nice as always but the new manager wasn't. After I got my food, I asked for extra sauce and the new manager told me that there was already some on my food. Looks like I need to find a new go-to lunch spot.

the loco moco was more meh than wow.. their bbq sauce on the spam musubis are elite from what i remember, but the loco moco was less thrilling: meat was rather thin and stale, though the rice and egg kept it together. the gravy could've used a flavor boost too, but that macaroni salad was a tangy-fresh delight; all makes for a solid meal, especially for students given the location.

The musubis here are pretty good. I had a Katsu one and a regular spam one and they were both actually quite delicious. It might have been cause I was starving and hadn't eaten much all day but I was left really pleased with my decision to eat here. They were also sold at a decent price!
